Preserving the heritage of our community

As part of the Aged Veterans Fund grant from Libor Fines, the Nuclear Community Charity Fund developed this virtual museum project to become a repository for the heritage of our nuclear community.

Like all museums, this is very much a living project as exhibits are shared with us and new developments move the story of our community. The initial focus of the museum is on our Nuclear Test Veteran memorials, these are scattered throughout the UK and provide a direct physical link to our communities. Because of this, it was a natural progression to evolve the museum alongside our program of refurbishment and rededication. As you revisit this museum over the next three years you will find it has grown to cover all our memorials.

Finding your way around the museum

You can use the menu at the top of this page to access the many different exhibitions and galleries of the museum. When you are in individual exhibitions you will see the Museum Guide as shown on the left. This is your virtual museum guidebook that will help you find your way around.
