Nuclear Community Remembrance Virtual Museum Project
The Don, War Memorial Bar
Welcome to The Don, War Memorial Bar’s Memorial for our British Nuclear Test Veterans
The Don, War Memorial Bar in Stockton on Tees is home to one of the more unusual memorials to our British Nuclear Test Veterans. Within this unique public house, dedicated to our armed forces and remembrance, there is an engraved table dedicated to our Nuclear Test Veterans.
The Don, War Memorial Bar, Stockton on Tees
The placing of a specially designed table commemorating those who took part in the British Nuclear Tests on the 21st October 2017 was the culmination of the efforts of Shelly Grigg, founder of the Fallout Group and nuclear community activist, and Julie Cooper, Landlady of The Don, War Memorial Bar.
The bar is a unique establishment, growing from the passion of Julie Cooper to remember and honour our servicemen and women. There is nothing quite like it in the UK!
